Phillip Wolf was born in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, September 13, 1974. At the age of ten, he discovered his love for writing when he wrote a Scooby-Doo short story. Wolf wrote horror, science fiction, and fantasy stories throughout high school. He also submitted his writings to Weird Tales, Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Fantasy Magazine, OMNI, and more. In 1995, he completed the Writers Digest School program for Writing and Selling Short Stories with a professionally published author as his instructor. Wolf attended The Art Institute of Dallas to continue his studies in video production, graduating in 2008 with honors and winning the best portfolio of his graduating class. After sixteen years in the retail industry, he resigned to film virtual tour videos for apartment homes around the country. In addition, Wolf incorporated his independent production company, Wolf Entertainment Productions (WEP). In 2012, Wolf created a twenty-minute documentary pilot entitled “Silent Cries” regarding CHDs in children and adults. The short film was an official selection and won first place in the health category during the 2012 Awareness Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. From 2012 to 2019, he wrote, produced, directed, and edited the feature documentary “Silent Cries: Breaking Through CHD Awareness.” The film became an official selection and won First Place in the documentary category during London’s 2019 Lift-Off Sessions film contest. The documentary is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Wolf also wrote a storybook picture book, “Jeremiah the CHD Aware Bear and Friends,” featuring a bear, a rabbit, a hippo, and a crane, each touched by congenital heart defects. The children’s book is available on Amazon.com. Wolf enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters when he’s not writing, producing, or editing movies.
